Mother’s Day Brunch Cruise
Treat mom to a luxury cruise aboard the Bateaux. Live jazz and pianist… and of course champagne. This is probably the best boat in the city!

What better way to treat mom than to take her dancing… followed by a wine tasting. Spend an afternoon learning the Zumba and Salsa with mom, and then celebrate with a wine tasting event.

“The City Club”
Take mom to this jazz and blues musical… “The City Club” is an off Broadway musical on the picturesque street of Minetta Lane in Greenwich Village. Before or after, take her to the Minetta Tavern or the newly opened Perla… two of my favorite dining spots.

Fashion in Film Festival
This event runs through May 13th at the Museum of the Moving Image. It includes ten featured films, concluding with two versions of “Mildred Pierce.’’  All of the films play on the themes of desire, disguise and exquisite costume designs. A double Mother’s Day treat combining film and fashion!

Mother’s Day Garden Party at the New York Botanical Garden
On May 12th or 13th, head to the NYBG for croquet, kite flying, ragtime music, and picnicking!  There will also be a poetry reading on the 12th and a family concert on the 13th.
